A Knife in Your Hands
Year End Practice Opportunity
A knife in the hands of a surgeon, a chef, or a thief is wielded in each case with distinct intentions. All three will cut, but the impulse to do so comes from different regions of the heart. The outcome unfolds accordingly.
As 2025 draws to a close and many of us naturally incline our minds toward goals for the new year, it is a wise practice to look beneath our gathering plans and get curious about what’s driving them.
On Saturday December 27 from noon until 1:15, I’ll be offering an All-levels (Zoom) Yoga and Mindfulness class to explore the practice of wise intention through movement and guided meditation. I hope our time together will help you clear your physical and mental palate for the first taste of 2026.
My intention in creating this practice is to offer you a pause, a little space for yourself in what many find to be a complex time of year. ❤️
What to expect:
The class will begin with about 45 minutes of yoga-based movement to awaken and relax the body and steady the mind. The last 30 minutes will be a combination of internal inquiry through mindfulness meditation, and deep rest in guided savasana.
How to sign up:
Please sign up by simply responding to this newsletter and letting me know you plan on attending. If you are not a regular student it will help us connect and I’ll share some payment options. Either way, I’d love to know you are coming and of course give you the Zoom link.
Suggested donation for this class is $20 although, in the spirit of Dharma sharing, you may pay less or more! If you can not attend the class live on Zoom, no worries, everyone will receive a recording that is good for one week.
Most likely I will not be sending reminders (and this class is not on my website
), so sign up soon before you forget! 😉 Sign-up requests close on December 24, Christmas Eve.

I hope you will join me. Respond directly to this email if you have any questions!
If we don’t see each other, I’m sending early wishes for a Happy New Year.
May all beings be free from suffering.
Love,
Susan
